Schleicher Ancestors
The Schleicher family reunion is held the 3rd Sunday every July at the West Penn Twp Community Center in New Ringgold Penna. Here is a picture from a recent reunion.

Schleicher Family Trees
Our branch of the Schleicher family first came to America in the late 1700's with the arrival of Nichlaus Schleicher. Our ancestor Daniel Schleicher b. 1803 d. 1862 Penna married Magdalena Kistler. One of their son's Edwin married Mary Jane Gerber. The ancestors settled in the Lehigh Valley on both sides of the Blue Mountain. Many still reside in the general area. They were mostly farmers, although Oliver and several of his sons worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad.

In 1878 Edwin and Mary Jane posed for a family portrait with Oliver on Edwins lap Lillie standingand Lewis on Emmas lap.In 1890 Edwin and Mary Jane posed for a portrait, the same year Oliver Schleicher married Emma Peters this is their wedding picture. The two family pictures are of the Oliver Schleicher family, the first in 1903 and the second 1915.
